Piranhas 3d lists off every item in the "amazingly shit movie from the 2000s" Checklist. Partying, copious amounts of boobs, explosions, and some awesome gore and peril. Its a remake of the 1978 film "Pirahna" which i have not watched but boy. Im sure itll deliver if its anything like this.

Its spring break in lake Victoria, and as the local festivities begin and the youth parties and raves, an earthquake opens a crack in the bottom of the lake, allowing thousands of vicious prehistoric piranhas to have a feast on the fresh meat. All while our protagonist, a teenager called Jake, pays his roughly 10yo siblings (who he was supposed to babysit) to stay at home alone and not tell mom about it while he meets up with his old crush Kelly and in the meantime lands a job as a guide for Derrick and his star actresses to find the most paradisiac locations at the lake to film their porno in. Yeah. So obviously many things could go wrong for the guy keeping in mind there are thousands of blood hungry piranhas in the lake. either his siblings die, his crush does, or the hotties hes guiding do.

If theres one thing this movie is great at is when it comes to envisioning bizarre gorey scenarios- a guy gets his dick eaten right off, a girl has her tits devored (revealing they were implants as the silicone bags cinematically float up to the surface), a girl gets torn in half while being carried out of the water, a girl has her hair stuck in the motor of a boat and gets her scalp ripped of, another guy begins using a separate motor as a chainsaw to defend against the vicious fish, another girl gets sliced in half by a cable coming at her in full force. etc etc. thousands injured. water tinted red with blood. the carnage is real. and its so farfetched and over the top i loved every second of it

For what it is, i think it delivered. its insane. here are some notes i took while i was watching the film, just so you can my honest reactions:
